In 2 weeks I will only work 5 days a week.
Gave my 2 weeks notice at the dog day care job, when I had mentioned it to my manager at the place I have been Baristaing at she instantly and excitedly offered me MORE shifts there.

In theory I could have about 40 hrs per week, slightly flexible schedule if I can get people to cover me when I need it. Some tip cash per shift, although tips aren't that great. I make maybe $10 on Saturday shifts there. Also pretty much complete freedom for clothes, most of the customers are laid back and mostly not dicks. Its not 100% my dream shop job, but its pretty nice. The manager sent me an email thanking me for all my extra efforts and for helping to teach one of the girls about making espresso drinks. Which suggests I am appreaciated and all that stuff.

Today I interviewed at shiroro 's company, and after 2 quick interviews they offered me a job. Just like that. I would work with fancy chocolate on wall street. A block away from Adams apartment, an extra doller an hour, benifts kick in after 3 months. Over time and I assume raises and all of that stuff. But I wear a uniform, have to keep my hair the way its dyed now so no big chunks of red in the front. The manager there is nice, its supposed to be a more calm store. But the clientale can be well, rich assholes for the most part. Argueably the smarter more secure job choice. GFchan did not approve of the idea of me wearing a uniform that involves a orange turtle neck

SO hard to chose, I have to decide tomorrow so I can either give 2 weeks notice or turn down the job so I am not a huge jerk either way.
Really I am just so tired and burt out from all the over stressed over worked stuff its making it harder to chose at this point.

I got 1 of my shifts covered this week, and possibly part of one covered this friday eve offered to close if I could cover part of the shift since she has class.

O_o wait, who said we're wearing an orange turtle neck?! That was like several years ago. WE LOOK LIKE CHOCOLATE JEDIS THAT STEPPED OUT OF THE SHOWER! . . . not sure if that's a good thing. >_> We wear a robe and a dinky scarf now and I have to say, we look kinda retarded.

But, uniforms are technically easy. If anyone complains about how you look, it's not your fault. It's the company's fault. And we're not there to look pretty. =_= By the end of the week, you'll have a stain somewhere. You'd rather get it on the uniform than your own clothes.

and yah, the manager at Wall St. is cool. She was both me and Aby's boss. :D She knows almost everything about the company and is probably the most responsible out of all the managers. Very serious about her job, but will do her best to accommodate any necessities for you.

mmm generally, I've had quite a few issues with this company and how they do shit at times (it's really disorganized imo), but overall, I don't -devote- myself that much about the company so, I don't take it personally. If they want to do it the hard way, so be it. Basically, I'll do my best and try to be an asset to the company. But, I'll get what I can from this job (aka my freedom) and they have to give that to me or else I'll go boom. D:

In that sense, they are very flexible with scheduling and timing to a point I can take 1 whole month off and prance around without being bothered. :3

oh, except this job will NOT let you take consecutive days off (without a valid reason) during winter. So, forget Katsucon (HI VALENTINE'S DAY YOU'RE NOT LEAVING NO MATTER WHAT) if you plan to work in our company. LOL

ps- don't feel pressured about having to work with us. XD I was just suggesting only cuz you sounded like you were stressed at your job right now. But, if you like your job now I don't see why you should switch. o_o cuz you won't be barista-ing much at our shop (especially Wall St. You BARELY barista there. @_@;; Rock and Mad are the more coffee-centric shops actually.)

Decisions, decisions.

I've been to the Wall Street location of shiroro's shop. Rather tiny though they do (did? it's been a while since I was last there) have a little cafe area in one corner. I think I had gone some time during the holidays, just a little after the evening rush hour so it wasn't too bad there.

In theory, I'd say it's probably the quietest of the three shops because of its location.

Benefits, really? Wow. That's not bad...the only job I ever worked that offered benefits stipulated I had to work a full 40 hours a week for something like 9 weeks before I was eligible to even apply for them...and it would take a huge chunk out of my paycheck.

Anyway, tough call on that job. I guess it depends on whether the benefits (higher pay, closer (I guess?) location, better job security, and actual Benefits with a capital "B") outweigh personal satisfaction (nicer customers, relaxed atmosphere, etc). Either way, I'm sure you'll do well.
Good luck.
